| Welcome
Sometimes we stumble upon a place that we think we've seen before. Often we can't comprehend what we are looking at. Most of the time we are simply lost. These images were culled from various journeys and adventures both near and far. I've tried to present my view of the world in an entertaining and honest way. Welcome to the Lost Compass Photoblog. Check back often...with any luck I'll be adding to this collection for years to come. Bio
One of my interests has always been photography. In the late 1970's, fresh out of college with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism, I regularly contributed feature articles to the local newspapers, with the occasional sale to magazines...and continued that pursuit for many years. Along the way I learned that supplying my own photographic illustrations increased my paychecks. Gradually, I began to realize that I enjoyed snapping pictures as much, if not more, that I did writing articles. The advent of the internet gave me a fresh venue to display some of my work. Shortly thereafter I was bitten by the travel bug, and the natural combination of travel and photography has led to this site. I hope you enjoy it. My client list includes: Grove-Atlantic, Inc., The Los Angeles Times, Copley News Service, Ikea Magazine, Cabal Communications Limited, National Public Radio (NPR), Different By Design, Bosch-Germany, Backpacker Magazine, Fodors.com, Sidestep.com, The Bard College, Photo File, Inc., Coldwell Banker Realty Corp, The International Joint Commission (Canada and The US), Stratus Computer Inc., The CSULB Review, Interactive Strategies, The Channing Bete Company, Princess Auto Ltd., Gibbs Smith Publishing, Verisgn Inc., University of California San Diego, and several trade publications as well as individuals. |
